MagPhotoPix is the business website for the photographic work of commercial photographer Mark Goodwin LRPS.
Mark has been involved in a number of enterprises and disciplines over the past 30 years and photography has featured in many of them.
A Music Industry veteran, Mark was originally a professional musician then a Promotions Manager for the British subsidiary of the American entertainment conglomerate CBS Inc. His role with the company was specifically with the Musical Instrument (MI) division. In this role Mark photographed many musicians and bands of the late 1960's and 70's who were involved in playing CBS MI which, at that time included such famous products as:
- Fender Guitars and Amplifiers
- Rogers Drums
- Gemeinhart Flutes
- Lyon & Healy Harps
- Rhodes Keyboards
- Steinway Pianos
There was also a British arm to the organisation which was that of J&I Arbiter, hence the trading name in the UK of, CBS/Arbiter Ltd. Under this banner Mark was responsible for the marketing and promotion of such leading instruments as:
- Arbiter Auto -Tune Percussion
- Paiste Cymbals and Gongs
- Hayman Drums
- Remo Drum Heads
In the early 1980's Mark left CBS/A to pursue a solo career in marketing and business development. After doing an MBA Mark utilized his photography and marketing/promotional skills for a 20 year period where he ran a successful Management & Training Consultancy.
Much of this work was with new business start ups and, Mark's photographic skills linked with his marketing knowledge assisted many companies with their branding and product shots.
Today Mark concentrates all his efforts on MagPhotoPix which involves all the things he is passionate about, which includes shooting some stock and, nature and wildlife photography.
Mark Goodwin LRPS is a member of the Royal Photographic Society and the Bureau of Freelance Photographers and a retired Fellow of the Institute of Sales & Marketing Management (FISMM).
